I thought now would be a nice time to announce a podcast that myself and my good friend Charl Jansen Van Rensburg (AKA Charlie Jay) have been recording over the past couple of months.
I asked Charl if he would like to record a podcast with me a few months back and, to my surprise, he thought it was a swell idea.
The podcast is Talkabout Allabout. It is in evolution and will continue to change and adapt for as long as we have the enthusiasm to make it.
I’ll be the first to say that it has many amateur elements—putting it lightly (particularly that intro 😂)—but Charl and I are enjoying the process and having fun as we go.
Anyone who knows me well enough knows I enjoy conversation (see personality if your memory needs jogging as to why that is) but not small talk, I quite despise that, and in Charlie Jay I found a wonderful interlocutor. We all need at least one of those, and I’m lucky enough to have a few.
So far we’ve touched on an array of topics, from The Olympics to personal finance. A few of our episodes have been spawned from one of my articles.
Not that it particularly matters in this context, but Charl works as an actuary, and it is safe to say therefore thinks well quantitatively, and I’m…well you’ve got a more accurate idea of who I am if you’ve been following my posts for a while.
I encourage you to give our podcast a listen—as I’m trying to take over your mind through as many mediums as possible.
If you like it, please follow us on Spotify.
